Kongsberg Digital is happy to announce the recruitment of Kristin Ruud as new SVP of Human Resources. Ruud has extensive experience in the field from software companies like Atea and Microsoft and will be a great asset to the fast-growing organization.

Kongsberg Digital announced today that it has signed a contract with Güngen Denizcilik ve Ticaret (Güngen), a Turkish owned and registered shipping company operating six high-spec Suezmax crude oil-tankers. Güngen is set to install the Vessel Insight infrastructure to its entire fleet of six vessels as an important step of the company’s digitalization strategy, to reduce emissions and optimize performance.

Norske Shell is using Kongsberg Digital’s digital twin solution Kognitwin® Energy to create a virtual representation of their Ormen Lange deepwater gas field. Feeding into the onshore digital twin developed at Nyhamna gas processing facility, the two will combined become the first ever fully integrated reservoir to market digital twin.

Kongsberg Digital (KDI) is celebrating another significant development in maritime training technology with a landmark simulator delivery for the Tolani Education Foundation in Mumbai, India. Students and instructors at the Tolani Maritime Institute will benefit from comprehensive Engine Room, Cargo and Navigation simulator training solutions under one roof.

The parties recently signed an agreement which includes evaluation of Kognitwin® Energy, a contextualized digital twin solution containing dynamic simulation and collaboration capabilities. Initial efforts will be focused on a new asset in ExxonMobil’s Guyana portfolio.
